The Guardian Open Platform

When major newspapers are closing down, UK’s Guardian is opening up. Guardian announced their “Open Platform”, which allows anyone to access their content for free.

Open Platform is the suite of services that make it possible for anybody to build applications with the Guardian. It consists of two products: the Content API, is a set of apis to query the content database and the other one is a Data Store, a collection of stats and data sets curated by Guardian journalists.

I think this is a revolutionary move.
